What is Apple Pro Application certification?

Suited toward photographers, multimedia and visual effect professionals, editors, sound professionals and the like, Apple’s Pro Application certification demonstrates knowledge and ability in the use of one or more of Apple’s digital applications - Final Cut Pro, Motion, Logic Pro and Aperture.

For each of these applications certification is available in one or more distinct levels of expertise:

  • Apple Certified Associate – the candidate can demonstrate basic, or entry-level, knowledge
  • Apple Certified Pro, Level One – the candidate can demonstrate good working knowledge
  • Apple Certified Pro – Level Two – the candidate can demonstrate mastery of advanced features

The table below shows the levels of certification that are available for each application:

Candidates wanting to take a Certified Pro Level 2 exam need to pass the respective Level 1 exam first. For example, in order to attempt the Apple Certified Pro Final Cut Pro Level Two exam, the candidate must first pass the Apple Certified Pro Final Cut Pro test.
