Just a reminder that if you’re a college or university student you should take advantage of Microsoft’s DreamSpark program (if you’re not already doing so).
DreamSpark is a program from Microsoft that allows students from over 80 countries to download free of charge a wide range of Microsoft software and development tools. All students need to do is register and provide proof of their student status (this can be done in a variety of ways).
Some of the products/software available are:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2012
- SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer
- Windows Server 2008
- Visual Studio 11
- Kinect for Windows SDK
- Visual C# 2008 Express
- Pluralsight On-Demand training library
And much more. They’re all free, so if you’re a student sign up today on the official Microsoft DreamSpark website, start downloading, and get learning.
