MEAN Stack Jump Start – Live Virtual Session, Feb 18th, 2015

Microsoft Virtual Academy present a free all-day primer on the MEAN stack for those who are interested in building scalable web apps quickly and easily. The MEAN stack is a collection of technologies (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, and Node.js) that fit well together to provide a solution that allows for a full-stack JavaScript implementation of web applications.

You’re invited to join Helen Zeng and Steven Edouard as they walk you through MEAN and create “Chirp,” a Twitter clone. They integrate MongoDB into a REST API with Node.js and Express and then connect that with an AngularJS front end. They then deploy the live app to Azure via GitHub.

Where: Online
Cost: Free
When: February 18, 2015 9am–5pm PST

Sign up here for this practical primer on MEAN, and learn to build an end-to-end web app, all using JavaScript.
