What is the CCNP Voice certification?
The Cisco Certified Network Professional Voice (CCNP Voice) confirms the advanced knowledge and skills required of network professionals to implement, operate, configure, and troubleshoot a converged IP network. The CCNP Voice focuses on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Unified CallManager), quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.
Who is the CCNP Voice certification for?
The CCNP Voice is aimed at networking professionals who wish to demonstrate competency in design, implementation, configuration and operations for converged IP communication networks and applications. Typical job roles that the CCNP Voice certification is aligned to include Voice Architects, Voice Engineers, and Telecom Managers.
Are there any prerequisites to the the CCNP Voice certification?
Yes, candidates must first hold either a valid CCNA Voice certification or any valid CCIE credential.
How do I earn the CCNP Voice certification?
A total of 5 exams need to be passed in order to earn the CCNP Voice qualification:

642-437 CVOICE - Implementing Cisco Voice Communications and QoS - 90 minutes (60 - 70 questions)
642-447 CIPT1 - Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Part 1 - 90 minutes (60 - 70 questions)
642-457 CIPT2 - Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Part 2 - 105 minutes (60 - 70 questions)
642-427 TVOICE - Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications - 90 minutes (60 - 70 questions)
642-467 CAPPS - Integrating Cisco Unified Communications Applications - 75 minutes (60 - 70 questions)

Candidates may choose to take the exams in any order, and should expect a mix of multiple-choice, drag and drop and simulation questions.
What is the passing score?
Cisco exams are scored on a scale of 300-1000 with candidates typically needing to score at least 850 points on this scale in order to pass. The number of questions on the exam will vary depending on the difficulty of the individual questions.
What if I fail?
Candidates who fail one or more of the exams must wait a period of 5 business days before retaking the same exam. Candidates can take a different exam during this period if they wish. The applicable exam fee must also be paid.

Where can I take the CCNP Voice exam?
All Cisco exams can be taken through any Prometric or Pearson VUE testing centre worldwide. Be familiar (before exam day) with the location of your local testing facility and check with them for registration requirements, current exam costs, as well as exam availability.
Are there any recertification requirements?
