Candidates will not qualify for the Master CIW Enterprise Developer qualification until all 6 CIW exams have been passed (the one CIW Associates exam plus the five Enterprise Developer exams) as well as the Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 exam.

The candidate can choose between either the 1D0-441 or the 1D0-541, and each of those exams earns a separate CIW certification on their own. Passing the 1D0-441 earns the candidate the CIW Professional qualification, while the 1D0-541 earns the candidate the CIW Database Design Specialist qualification.

Exams can be booked through Prometric or Pearson VUE testing centres and can be paid for by check, credit card or discount exam voucher. If a candidate fails an exam on the first attempt, they may not retake the exam for at least 24 hours. If the candidate fails on their second try (or any number of subsequent times) they must wait at least 30 calendar days for their next try.
