Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) Certification





The Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) is an Expert-level credential aimed at candidates who wish to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to build enterprise solutions across multiple technologies, both on-site and in the cloud. Typically, MCSD candidates should have at least two years relevant experience.

There are 4 individual MCSD tracks offering candidates the opportunity to specialise in a particular area of technology. The four tracks are:

MCSD: Windows Store Apps (two tracks available)

MCSD: Windows Store Apps Using HTML5
  • 70-480 Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3
  • 70-481 Essentials of Developing Windows Store Apps Using HTML5 and JavaScript
  • 70-482 Advanced Windows Store App Development Using HTML5 and JavaScript
MCSD: Windows Store Apps Using C#
  • 70-483 Programming in C#
  • 70-484 Essentials of Developing Windows Store Apps Using C#
  • 70-485 Advanced Windows Store App Development Using C#

MCSD: Web Applications
  • 70-480 Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3
  • 70-486 Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications
  • 70-487 Developing Windows Azure and Web Services

MCSD: SharePoint Applications
  • 70-480 Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3
  • 70-486 Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications
  • 70-488 Developing Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Core Solutions
  • 70-489 Developing Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Advanced Solutions

All of the MCSD certification tracks require the passing of a recertification exam every two years.
