Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Certification

The MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) certification was initially one of the previous 'new generation' certifications offered up by Microsoft. With the newest wave of 'new generation' certifications however, most of the initial MCITP certification tracks are now being retired. Indeed, beyond January 2014 only one MCITP certification track will survive:

Microsoft SQL Server

Candidates who hold an MCITP certification can upgrade their credential to an MCSA 2012 buy passing the 70-417 exam - Upgrading your skills to MCSA Windows Server 2012.
