MCPD - Web Developer

The MCPD Web Developer certification signifies that the candidate has the skills and knowledge to build and manage interactive, data-driven web applications using the ASP.NET 2.0 framework.

To become a MCPD Web Developer you must first pass the MCTS Web Applications certification which consists of two exams:

• 70-536: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Application Development Foundation
• 70-528: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Web-Based Client Development

And then complete one additional exam:

• 70-547: Designing and Developing Web Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework 

Alternatively, you can upgrade from the older MCAD certification by taking just one exam (there is no need to obtain the MCTS credential first):

• 70–551: MCAD skills to MCPD: Web Developer by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework
