MCTS - SQL Server 2005

The MCTS SQL Server 2005 certification is the foundation credential for professionals who wish to demonstrate proficiency at implementing and maintaining databases, who have a good working knowledge of the product, understand how to use the tools and Transact-SQL language, and are thoroughly familiar with the user interface.

The MCTS SQL Server 2005 is a pre-requisite for all three of the Professional Series MCITP Database tracks (Database Developer, Database Administrator, and the Business Intelligence Developer).

To earn the MCTS SQL Server 2005 certification, a candidate must pass one exam that focuses on the implementation and maintenance of SQL Server 2005.

After successfully completing that exam the candidate is awarded the MCTS SQL Server 2005 credential. This then qualifies the candidate to pursue the higher MCITP credentials.
